THIS POLICY APPLIES TO: Contractors – Individuals engaged to provide services under a contract with SelfDesign Learning Foundation Support Providers – Individuals engaged under a contract or agreement with SelfDesign Learning Foundation to provide services for a specific learner Families – Learners and parents(s)/guardian(s) of learners participating in SelfDesign Learning Foundation’s programs Volunteers – Individuals providing goods/services under the terms of an agreement with SelfDesign Learning Foundation Board Members – Members of the Board of Directors for SelfDesign Learning Foundation and the Foundation for SelfDesign (FSD)

Policy Statement

SelfDesign Learning Foundation (SDLF) is committed to keeping the identity of third-party reference providers (i.e. for contracting purposes) private and confidential in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

SelfDesign Learning Foundation (SDLF) will not disclose third-party references and will not contact reference providers for consent to do so. Individuals who wish to obtain a copy or transcript of a third-party reference made on their behalf to SDLF must contact the reference provider directly. This is done in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

Protocol

If a request to disclose a third-party reference is received by Human Relations or any other channel, requesters will be informed that the requester must contact the reference provider directly to obtain copies or transcripts of a third-party reference made on their behalf to SDLF.
